Artist: Jamie Hewlett

With this one, I'm just gonna write about his most famous job in the last lines (just for you to know his job more, if you do not know it already). Jamie Hewlett, as said by Wikipedia, is an english comic book artist and designer.

The drawing above is the key. If you know something about music, you know what I'm talking about. He follows the same style and creates many different characters with it, in a way that is hard to know. (This drawing was used for an vibrator commercial, that's kinda funny..).

Above we have an watercolor art that I found when searching for him. Totally different then what he does, and, also, totally awesome! Togheter with this, he painted 9 others in a visit in Bangladesh, to raise awareness of the dangers of climate change. More information about this news here.

This one is just awesome. This animation was made for the Olympic Games in 2008 and was based on a traditional story invented in China (Journey to the West). It's a very folk work, mixed with fantasy, animals and other great stuff.
More information in Wikipedia here.

Now the most famous work he did/does/is doing. As said before, the characters that he does are very impressive. It's simple and hard work at the same time, hard can't explain.
Below is one video of Gorillaz, the other ones you can find here.

That's all folks! If you want to suggest other artist, send a comment.

Freelancer: André Toma

As a brazilian, I couldn't start different. André Toma was born in São Paulo, Brazil.
He started as a professional in 2004 as a freelancer and, today, he draws for some really good magazines here. This totally different style of drawing involves some kind of collage, black and white techniches (making awesome shadows).

When drawing, he said on his blog that Morrissey is always on the playlist. Some time ago I commented on his blog, and something very interesting is that he answered my questions in a very kind way, and wished me luck in this drawing highway.

This 'sketch' style is one of my favourites. He rocks a lot on what he does! Also interesting is the fact that he is also supporting his daughter on the art world (whose drawings is mixed sometimes with Andre's).
PS. The drawings belong totally to him.

WELCOME to this totally experimental blog. This blog isn't personal, here I wanna show some artists that I find, good videos found on the internet, inspiration for people interested in drawing (just like me).

                    Roger Cruz

This blog is also an excuse for writing in english, as I'm brazilian and if, one day, I have the chance to reach my Pixar dream, I have to be an english expert.

With the artists' drawings I wanna put togheter some information and links for the interested.

That's all folks! Hope you enjoy this.
